Our patented DomeVex hybrid — a full 180° view from a single vertically mounted mirror. A conventional convex mirror needs two mirrors to see both directions. One DomeVex covers both, with roughly three times the viewing area — built for driveways, intersections, loading docks, and complex blind spots.

Acrylic gives most sites the right balance of clarity, shatter resistance, and price. The 1/8 in. heavy-duty plastic backing stands up to years of sun, rain, wind, and salt air.

All brackets ship with mounting hardware and instructions. Most installations take under 15 minutes.
What’s the difference between Z and telescoping brackets? Z-brackets are rigid and fine for small indoor mirrors. Telescoping brackets have an adjustable arm that gives the mirror play in wind — mandatory for outdoor use and strongly recommended for 18″+.
Does acrylic yellow in the sun? Our acrylic is UV-stabilized. Unlike low-grade imported mirrors, it will not haze or yellow over normal outdoor life.
Can I get a custom SKU? Yes — if your size, backing, or bracket is not listed, contact us for a custom quote.
Our U.S.-based team can help size the mirror, choose the bracket, and quote the order.
Convex Mirrors are an excellent choice for driveway mirrors and are often the choice because of the balance between viewing angle and size. A convex mirror offers an approximate 160-degree view, allowing drivers to see oncoming traffic. In an ideal world, customers would like to use a full-dome or half-dome mirror because of their wide-angle view over convex mirrors.
The problem, however, is that full dome and half-dome mirrors aren't feasible to mount on poles or trees, whereas most users would mount a driveway mirror to see oncoming traffic. In addition, because of the more expansive view, one DomeVex mirror can provide a better, seamless view than two standard convex mirrors. Please see the illustrations below for a quick example.

one DomeVex mirror provides a better view
Now, there are DomeVex Mirrors which offer a marriage between the larger view of dome mirrors and the smaller mounting of convex mirrors. DomeVex mirrors offer a deeper convex curvature on a convex mirror frame, providing a 180-degree view and up to 100 feet in all directions (depending on mirror size).

The acrylic lens offered in this product is shatter-resistant and lightweight, making it an excellent choice for outdoor driveway mirror mounting. Available in heavy-duty plastic backing with a z-bracket (for indoor use) and telescoping brackets (outdoor use), sizes from 16-inch-42-inch sizes, this is the hand-down top choice for an outdoor driveway mirror.
The acrylic lens is rugged and lightweight, providing a 20% brighter view than glass. This convex mirror's outer rim or flange is aluminum, riveted with stainless steel bolts. This construction provides a rigid mirror that won't bend or distort as much in windy conditions are mirrors with rubber or vinyl rims.
For more oversized mirrors, we recommend a minimum of two telescoping brackets and three in situations where the wind plays a role.
There are two types of mounting brackets offered with this mirror, the "z" bracket, and the "telescoping bracket." The z bracket is only recommended for smaller mirrors and for indoor use. When mounting a driveway mirror outdoors, it is recommended to choose at least 2 telescoping brackets. For very windy locations, choose three telescoping brackets.

This mirror features heavy-duty plastic backing, which we recommend as the most preferred backing choice for an outdoor mirror. Don't let the word "plastic " fool you. The plastic is 1/8'' HDPE, high-density polyethylene, an incredible product. It is incredibly rigid and tough, performs well in extreme temperatures, and is resistant to weather conditions and chemicals.
The border around the backing is a continuous flat board for extra rigidity. The high-impact plastic backs are contained in an aluminum "u" channel.

Why are convex mirrors recommended for driveways, alleys, and parking garage exits?
These areas often have blocked sight lines caused by walls, fences, vehicles, landscaping, or tight turns. A convex mirror gives drivers a wider view of cross traffic and pedestrians before they pull out, turn, or back up.
How do I work out what size traffic mirror I need for a blind bend?
Start with viewing distance and vehicle speed. The 1 inch of mirror diameter per 1.5 feet of viewing distance rule is a useful baseline, then size upward for faster approaches, long sight distances, or complex junctions.
What is a traffic safety mirror?
A traffic safety mirror is a convex mirror used to improve visibility at roadways, driveways, blind bends, parking lot exits, and vehicle intersections. It helps drivers see cross traffic and pedestrians where direct line of sight is limited.
What is a convex mirror and how does it work for safety?
A convex mirror curves outward to expand the field of view. It helps people see around corners, vehicles, walls, racks, and other obstacles. Convex mirrors are commonly used at driveways, alleys, loading docks, parking garages, warehouses, and blind intersections.
