How each dome mirror mounts
Start with the mirror shape, then check whether it has a backing or cover. Domes without backing mount through predrilled flange holes. Covered or backed domes hang from D-rings on the back cover.

For suspended full domes, anchor into a structure that can carry the mirror; do not rely on a loose ceiling tile alone. For flange-mounted half, quarter, and 270 degree domes, choose anchors for the actual wall, corner, blocking, or ceiling material.
sizingHow are quarter dome mirror sizes measured?
Full and half dome mirrors are sized by the diameter of the original full dome. Quarter domes are based on that same full dome diameter, so the straight edges of a quarter dome are roughly half the listed size.

educationWhy does my quarter dome mirror look smaller than the size I ordered?
A quarter dome uses the radius of the original full dome as its straight-edge measurement. For example, a 32 inch quarter dome will have straight edges of about 16 inches because it is one quarter of a 32 inch full dome.
