These are full dome mirrors with an acrylic lens, hardboard backing, and a black and yellow striped safety border surrounding the mirror's edge. The black and yellow striping draws attention to the mirror to help people avoid safety accidents in a warehouse, garage, or other areas where they need to notice oncoming traffic.
These full dome mirrors are used in warehouses, garages, and other areas where awareness of oncoming traffic is important. Each mirror uses an acrylic lens with a hardboard backing.
The acrylic lens provides a clear view, allowing users to monitor their surroundings and minimizing distortion or glare for an accurate reflection.
The hardboard backing adds stability and strength, keeping the mirror securely in place in high-traffic areas or where accidental contact may occur.
A black and yellow striped safety border surrounds the mirror's edge. This design draws attention to the mirror. Black and yellow are widely recognized as colors of caution, reminding people to stay alert and watch their surroundings.
The black and yellow striping serves as both a visual cue and a physical border, marking the mirror's presence and helping prevent accidental collisions.
These full dome mirrors are built to support safety. Their design and marked border help reduce accidents in a warehouse, a garage, or any other area with oncoming traffic.
A full dome mirror offers a 360-degree view. Whether hanging from the ceiling using the included three-chain pendant or directly mounted to the wall, these mirrors provide the widest view of any safety mirror type.
These Safety Dome Mirrors are made from durable acrylic, which offers a 20% brighter image and is 14 times more impact-resistant than glass. The hardboard backing protects the mirror lens and provides an excellent mounting structure. The hardboard backing is rated for indoor use and not recommended for outdoor usage.
The mirrors are available from 18 inches to 48 inches. The accepted rule of thumb for these mirrors is that you can see objects that many feet away for every inch in mirror size. For example, a 48-inch full dome mirror will offer a view up to 48 feet away, while an 18-inch mirror offers views of objects up to 18 feet away.
The mirror may hang from the included three-chain pendant or be mounted directly on the wall using the pre-fabricated holes along the flange of the mirror.

What is the difference between full dome, half dome, and quarter dome mirrors?
Full domes provide near 360-degree overhead visibility and are used above open areas or four-way intersections. Half domes are useful at T-intersections or wall-adjacent areas. Quarter domes fit corners and L-shaped corridor intersections.
How are half dome and quarter dome mirrors mounted?
Half dome and quarter dome mirrors usually mount to walls, ceilings, or corners through pre-drilled rim holes or d-loop rings on backed versions. Install them into solid material or appropriate anchors at a height that gives pedestrians and equipment operators a clear view.
When should I use a full dome mirror instead of a convex mirror?
Use a full dome when people, carts, forklifts, or customers approach from multiple directions and overhead panoramic visibility is needed. Use a wall-mounted convex mirror when the primary need is one or two approach directions around a corner or obstruction.
Why does my quarter dome mirror look smaller than the size I ordered?
A quarter dome uses the radius of the original full dome as its straight-edge measurement. For example, a 32 inch quarter dome will have straight edges of about 16 inches because it is one quarter of a 32 inch full dome.
